Where can I get Veto?
On the App Store, for iPhones running iOS 17 or later. Download it here.
How much does Veto cost?
Joining a group as a guest is free, always. Hosting a group or running a solo session needs Veto Premium: $4.99 a month or $44.99 a year. A Household plan ($6.99 a month or $59.99 a year) shares Premium with up to six people through Apple Family Sharing. Every new subscriber gets a 7-day free trial.
Do my friends need to pay?
No. Only the host needs Premium. Everyone else downloads Veto, enters the session code, and vetoes for free.
How does the group mode work?
The host creates a session and shares a code. Everyone joins, everyone vetoes privately. The app reveals the intersection: restaurants nobody vetoed.
Can my group see what I vetoed?
No. Vetoes are private to you. The group only sees what survived, never who said no to what.
How are restaurants sourced?
From Google Places. We pull what's near you, then your group decides what stays.
Does Veto track my location?
Veto asks for your location only to find restaurants near you. Prefer not to share it? Type an address or city instead. The details are in our privacy policy.
Is this app just for planning dinners out?
No. Use it for any meal of the day. Don't forget to set your vibe, from an intimate setting to a large group meal out.
Can the app be used for solo diners?
Yes! You can run a solo session. Say what you don't want, Veto gives you your yes.
What if no one wants to decide on a place to eat?
No problem! Just select “You choose” and Veto will pick a location based on your filters.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Apple handles billing. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and pick Veto. Cancelling keeps Premium until the end of the period you've paid for. New phone? Tap Restore Purchases in Veto's settings.
How do I delete my account?
In Veto, open Settings, then Account, then Delete account. Your profile and history are removed right away. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription, so cancel that in your iPhone's Settings first.
Will Veto only be available on iPhone?
iPhone for now. Android is on the roadmap. Leave your email and we'll tell you the day it ships.
